Morito Apparel Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Morito Apparel”) supplied fabric made from
“MURON®”—a recycled material created from 100% discarded fishing nets
collected in Japan—to the Japanese fashion brand “doublet.”
This fabric was incorporated into some of the looks in doublet’s
Spring/Summer 2027 collection, which was presented at Paris Fashion Week.
Paris Fashion Week takes place in Paris, France, from Tuesday, June 23, 2026,
to Sunday, June 28, 2026, during which carefully selected brands from around the world present their new collections.
The theme of doublet’s collection this time is “A DAY IN THE LIFE—Future Materials, Into Everyday Life.”
Rather than treating future materials as something extraordinary, the collection depicts
a day in the future where these materials naturally blend into people’s lives and become everyday choices.
The collection draws inspiration from various resources that have garnered attention
as new materials—such as CO₂ derived from air, wood, carbon, bananas, marine resources,
and agricultural waste—and poses the questions: “What makes a good material?” and “How will sustainable manufacturing take root in our daily lives?”
MURON® was also adopted as one of these future materials.
The collection’s concept—which envisions a future where eco-friendly materials
are no longer viewed as something special but have become part of everyone’s daily life
—resonated with MURON®’s philosophy: “We hope to create a world
where these materials are used naturally, without needing to be discussed,” leading to its inclusion in this collection.

The MURON® fabric we provided was incorporated into a variety of looks.
For this collection, out of a total of 45 looks, fabrics made with MURON® were used in 19 of them.
Moving forward, Morito Apparel will continue to support doublet from
a manufacturing perspective, resonating with the brand’s unique creative vision and its spirit of continuous innovation.
Through the development of sustainable materials, including MURON®,
we will continue to work alongside brands both in Japan and abroad to contribute to the future of fashion.
We hope you will continue to follow Morito Apparel’s initiatives.

Established in 2012. Launched its first collection in Spring/Summer 2013.
Based on basic, standard items, the brand’s concept is “everyday wear
with a sense of incongruity,” blending unexpected ideas into its designs.
Offering a full range of items from apparel to accessories, its unique aesthetic
—a fusion of playfulness and philosophy—is highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally.
